It’s a wonderful fishing dock, with beautiful golden hour view. Right before that there is a children’s playground. Take mosquito repellent with you specially at dusk 😀 …
Overall it's a pleasant little park. Although the only facilities on site was a portable toilet. There's an open field for sports, beautiful low hanging oaks to play under, satisfactory playground (a little run down), fishing pier, and pretty views across the water and marsh. Downside was the trail... It lead us to a "makeshift campsite" and trash dump area. Not the best way to finish our visit.
Great place to go fishing for blue crabs
Favorite place to come and walk the dog - and my dog’s favorite place in the whole world. Really nice park with a beautiful view of the river and plenty of benches to sit on. It’s free to visit and there is parking as well which is a plus. There’s also a nice playground for kids. Do note that there aren’t really lights as the park is technically closed at night.
Had a lovely riverside picnic, watching the dragon boats practice. The real reason for my visit, though, was to attend a session of the Low Country Stargazers. Every Wednesday (weather permitting) they set up telescopes here and study the night sky. It was fun and educational, and I had a close-up view of Saturn and Jupiter, among other things. Would be a great way to introduce young ones to astronomy.
Beautiful park along the water. I went for a seed collection activity. There are lots of birds even on brisk day. Clean park with a clean port-a-potty.
I love this little Ashley riverside park! Close to the Riverdogs stadium and the DMV, makes a great little picnic spot. There is a little playground there too that makes a great stop if you need to kill some time! This open space park is host to many great events year round as well!
Great place for a walk. Easy and free parking. Great views of the river.
